Do not let the title mislead you.. this is NOT a political blog. Not even close! This is however my inaugural post in the world of blogging. So Hello World!
Why start now you ask?
Good question. Let’s just say that I got a wild hair this morning and decided to just go with it. I am certainly not a stranger to reading blogs so if you think about it… it’s really a natural progression. (just go with it)
A little about me and I will try to not repeat that section over there ------->
My name is Gage a.k.a Mrs. Gil. I am: A wife, my kid’s mom, a Christian, a full-time professional, a full-time student, a part-time crafter, and an all-the-time pretty awesome person! My husband Mr. Gil and I have been married for seven years this past Saturday (Sept. 8th). I have two beautiful, amazing, funny, dramatic, loving, amazing (yes that’s worth repeating) children. T is 6 and R is 2. I work to live and certainly do not live to work. Don’t get me wrong I love what I do and the people I work with. However, my dream job involves sleeping in, spending quality time with my kids, sewing, cooking, sewing, crafting, napping, you get the gist.
What am I going to blog about?
WHO knows! Ha. Like I said I started this thing on a whim this morning so to think I’ve actually thought this through is hilarious. I haven’t even figured out what I’m making for dinner. One thing I do know is that you’ll pretty much get a little of everything . You’ll get a lot about my life and how I stumble through that thing and probably some craft projects… MAYBE some cooking stuff (don’t hold your breath) but mostly just me. I definitely guarantee that you’ll get me. I solemnly swear that you will NOT see a post from me talking about how much I LOVE working out and getting up at 5:00 in the morning or eating granola. I may from time to time suggest that any of those three things are a great idea and I’m TOTALLY going to do it! But rest assured I’m hating it… like full on depth of my soul hating it. I’m just saying.
So you’re a Christian, huh?
So what does that mean to you? Well that means that I believe in God. I go to church regularly, I’m very involved in my church, I talk about Jesus and God, I instill faithful qualities in my children, I attempt to live my life as God would want me too, etc. I am not a “seasoned veteran” at being a Christian, so will I contradict myself? All the time. Am I perfect and holier than thou? DEFINITELY NOT. Will I try to convert you to Christianity? Only if you want to be. Will I share openly and honestly what I’m struggling with? Absolutely. Does that mean you’ll judge me? Maybe you will… maybe you won’t. That’s your call really but I’m not worried about that.
So that’s me… in a nutshell. I’m sure I’ve left several things out but let’s just dive right in shall we?
